Ruth Hulett, DOM, LMT - Oriental Medicine & Bodywork

Ruth Hulett, Doctor of Oriental Medicine

Dr. Ruth Hulett is an acupuncturist, herbalist, and licensed massage therapist. Her areas of expertise include:

Women's Health
Stress Management
Pain Management

She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Oregon in 1989. Believing that traditional training in psychology lacked an emphasis on the role that the body played in emotional health, she enrolled in the Minnesota Center of Shiatsu Study to fill that void in her education. To this day, her practice is guided by the knowledge and experience she gained from the brilliant teachers at MCSS. After graduating from the center and working there as a shiatsu instructor and clinic supervisor, she entered an apprenticeship with Dr. Li Gu, an internationally recognized acupuncturist and scholar. In 2000, she moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico, to study Oriental Medicine at Southwest Acupuncture College, one of the top schools in the country.

In 2003, Dr. Hulett received her Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College. Her background in psychology and shiatsu, as well as a daily personal yoga practice have contributed to her well rounded approach to health care. She has a wide range of training and experience which enhances her practice of Oriental Medicine. Today, she maintains a private practice in Santa Fe and is also on staff at the new Encantado Resort in Tesuque.
